1. What cookies are

Cookies are small pieces of data that a website and its services may store in the user's browser. They may be needed for website operation, security, preferences or analytics.

2. Purposes of cookies and local storage

Necessary cookies: security, protection against automated misuse and technical operation. They may be used without analytics consent because they are necessary for operation or protection.

Analytics preference — localStorage: remembers permission or refusal, the preference version, when it was saved and when it expires. A record is created after the user chooses. It contains neither form field values nor the data-processing consent recorded in the email.

Analytics cookies: assess website traffic and usage. They are enabled only after the user's explicit choice, if analytics is connected.

3. Analytics

Yandex Metrica and other analytics counters are disabled in the current website version. Selecting “Allow analytics” saves the preference but does not currently start any counters. If analytics tools are connected, they operate in accordance with the user's choice and cookie settings; analytics code loads only after consent. Names, email addresses, telephone numbers, company information, enquiry content, technical parameters, file names and document content are not sent to analytics services.

4. User choice

On a first visit, users can select “Allow analytics” or “Necessary only”. Declining analytics does not prevent use of core website functions or preparation of email text.

The choice can be changed using “Cookie settings” in the footer. The browser's localStorage stores it under sudoexpert_cookie_choice_v2, containing only permission or refusal, the preference version, and the local times of saving and expiry. If local storage is unavailable, the preference is held only in the current tab's memory. This setting is separate from consent confirmation in the email.

4.1. Form data

Form entries are not stored in cookies, localStorage or other client-side website storage. These stores do not retain names, email addresses, phone numbers, company information, technical parameters, enquiry text or form drafts. Values are used in browser memory to generate email text locally.

“Copy text” places the prepared text on the device clipboard or offers it for manual copying. “Open email” passes it to the user's chosen email application. Any subsequent saving or sending depends on the user's actions and browser, device and email settings, not on website cookies or local storage.

5. Duration

The analytics preference is recognised for 180 days from the time it is saved. After that, the record is no longer treated as valid permission and the website asks the user to choose again. Expiry does not automatically delete the localStorage record; users can remove it using their browser. A new choice replaces the previous record.

6. Browser controls

Users can delete or block cookies and local website data through their browser. Blocking necessary cookies may affect certain security or technical functions.
